Frequently Asked Questions
The Answers You Need
My pet has a special diet. Can their needs be accommodated?
Yes! We require all pet parents to supply their dog's food when they stay with us. We know that a sudden change in your pet's diet can have a big impact on their gut health. Bringing their food with them to their stay is an easy solution with keeping your pets' tummies happy. Ask us about your pets nutrition! We have nutrition experts in staff that can help you make the best food choices for your pets.
What do you supply for overnight boarding?
Our current COVID safety protocols only allow your dog, a collar/harness and a leash to limit any potential exposure and spread of COVID-19 virus.
The ONLY exceptions are items that are necessary to your pet's heath and wellbeing. Examples are raised feeders, slow feeders, and orthopedic beds.
How can I check on my pet during their stay?
You can call, text or email us! We do our best to provide regular photo/video updates to pet parents directly and via social media. With our online services request app, we are also able to update you and your pet's profile with their daily activities and any important notes.
What are the requirements for my dog to stay at Buddy Sweets?
All dogs must be at least 4 months old or older, be up to date on Rabies, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Types 1 and 2, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus and Bordetella. Every pet must have proof of flea and tick preventative treatment (topical, collar, or chew). If fleas or ticks are found on your pet, our staff will immediately bath and treat your pet at the expense of the pet parent.
Special accommodations can be made with puppies 10 weeks or older with at least 2 sets of the required puppy vaccines and waiver form.
We ask all of our first time guest to complete one day of daycare services which will allow our staff to understand your pet's needs.
For dogs 10 years for large dogs and 12 years for small dogs or older, we require note from a licensed Veterinarian certifying your senior dog is healthy enough for daycare and boarding.
